Solution:  here it is given that slope which is m is zero. And value of x₁ = -4 and y₁ = -3

Now to find the equation of the line we should know the standard form

Which is y – y₁ = m (x   – x₁) by putting the above values

This implies y +3 = 0(x + 4)

Y + 3 = 0

Question: Find the equation of the line for which tan θ = ½, where θ is the inclination of the line and x – intercept equal to 4.

Solution: here m= ½

So equation of the line is

Y – 0 = ½(x – 4) here line passes through (4 , 0)

After solving the equation we get

X – 2y – 4 = 0
